Actually, every one of the five weeks of vacation I spent from my day job has gone to one of the projects at this organization. This week was no different. The big thing was to get the paper done and so it is at our printers. I also had to sort out this worrying issue of the computers.
Before:
P3 - 500mhz and 166mhz - I used the P3 for almost everything with the lowly 166 in reserve. The new office demanded it's own computer.
Then:
P4 2ghz, P3 500mhz and 166mhz - The P3 was now my personal computer and the P4 was an off-line media machine with the 166 for browsing. The uploads still had to be done with the P3; we had to divorce the office work from my personal computer.
Now:
P4 2ghz, Athlon 1.6 ghz, P3 500mhz - The P4 and P3 are now office property and the Athlon is for my personal use. P3 retains it's position as internet surfer and ftp dude. This arrangement works and no current desires to upgrade - so we are done here for the foreseeable future. I would like to upgrade later to a very high powered Mac - just a thought, but the PC si compatible with the rest of the world and we are international - so.....
We also have Papal, Visa, MasterCard, and Amex as vehicles of cash flow. No real need for these yet, but that will come in the future, more or less.....
I now spend quite a bit of time in the office now - what a change! With the second paper starts our lobby of the U.N. - that is going to be a learning experience! Anyway, more on that when it happens, back to paper shredding with my new shredder! Yah.....I get excited about these small purchases.....
