Fortress Of Freedom Records Becomes A Reality!
By Maurice Ali, President and CEO: FOF Inc./IAIJ Inc.
Cubase Program And Receipt!
It is with great pleasure that I launch the musical program of the Fortress Of Freedom Media Corporation. We are in the process of undertaking several projects with three members and with this type of commitment to music; I felt it appropriate to make note in a more formal way.
First, I would like to state that we are committed to using Steinbergs's Cubase software for our musical productions. I have been at Steinberg Canada many times in the last few weeks and the people there are great! It was therefore a pleasant surprise to have them aid our organization in the audio solutions that faced us at the present time. Because of Steinberg's commitment to customer service, I know have a fully functional and registered copy of Cubase VST32 at a very discounted price. We are still a very small corporation and every dollar counts, and to have the people at Steinberg offer us one of their earlier programs at this affordable price is a God send - Thank you Steinberg Canada!
Secondly I would like to address what we intend to do in this venture into the very competitive world of music. We, as an organization, intend to give a voice to those musical artists who would probably not get a chance with a large label, but are nevertheless talented to put music our there that has value. Their views, as expressed through their music, are just another form of free speech. We will support musicians as our budget allows; presently I am still receiving unsolicited music that will either have to wait or look elsewhere - we are trying to give as many people the opportunity as possible. I also openly state that I am not the most musically inclined person in the music business. However, I make no apologies for the artists selected for album production; fresh eyes in this industry is much needed!
Finally, this jaunt into the music world and business in no way takes this organization from any of it's core activities of providing support for our journalists or the production of our newspaper and reporting of events. Our march to NGO status is still a year away and we will be in position to concentrate fully on this endeavor when the time comes. This is just another learning experience for our organization and another venture into the many forms of free speech!
