TWENTY6HUNDRED at the Tennessee on Queen St. W.

Michael and the band getting ready!
Last night's performance at the Tennessee (April 23 2015)was very toned down and intimate from the good old boys in Twenty6hundred. The show began around 9:30pm with sound checks and beer and gradually became a small riot fest of party goers due to a lucky lady getting revved up for her all night stagette.
I personally enjoyed the much tamer versions of the songs Michael Atkinson and co. played off of their new album titled Electric For All. Michael's voice was on point throughout the entire night and Randy Nolson and Mihai Trusca were also dynamite in their own elements as always. There was one element missing and that was the absence of kick ass bassist Jim Burdon due to an undisclosed medical issue.
All in all they put on an amazing show and impressed the owners of the club so much that I was given two business cards to contact them in order to book Twenty6hundred again at the venue. It says a lot about a band that may miss out on having one of their main elements present due to whatever reason and continue moving on with the show.
These guys are truly a testament of what the spirit of rock and roll is and I'm looking forward to seeing their progresss over the course of the next few years.
