The dirty side of Toronto Winter: Part 2!

Having read Dave Getchell's account of the snow banks at Eglinton and Victoria Park in Toronto; I decided to check this out for myself and take some test photos from our new point and shoot camera.
The trip did not disappoint - just look at the size of those banks! Keep in mind this is weeks after Dave's photos and all the rest of Toronto is snow free by now!
Look at the picture above, the thing is like the "Grand Canyon" of snow banks. Man-o-man, the thing is so big people were actually driving through the "canyons" like it was some sort of amusement park ride - or tourist attraction. It did occur to me that someone from the mall could put up a booth and charge folk to drive through and take a picture for posterity.....

Anyway, Dave is correct. In all that muck is all sorts of festering garbage, eaten by the local birds..... Once again Dave, your are right and thanks for the heads up! |
