"Just For Today!"
By: Joeseph A.
There are two days in every week for which we should not dwell on or worry about. Two days for which we should have no fear or regret about.
The first of these days is YESTERDAY, with its mistakes and cares, its faults and blunders, and its aches and pains. YESTERDAY has passed forever beyond our control, and never to be relived. All the prayers and money can not bring back YESTERDAY. We cannot erase a single act we have performed, nor can we erase a single word we have said, YESTERDAY is FOREVER GONE.
Next is TOMORROW. With all its possibilities, its burdens, its positive and negitive consequences, its large promise for great or poor performences, it is completely out of our control. TOMORROW will come wiether we want it to or not. The sun will rise and fall, and until it does rise, we have no stake in TOMORROW, for it is not here yet.
So this leaves only one day that we should all be concerned about. TODAY. Every single last one of us can fight the battles, trials, and tribulations of TODAY. But once we begin regreting YESTERDAY, or worrying about TOMORROW, these two awful eternities destroy what little we have left of TODAY, and eventually break us down.
It is not the knowledge of TODAY that drives us slowly and bitterly insane, But it is the remorse and bitterness of things that happened YESTERDAY, or that which we believe may happen TOMORROW, that drives us to the breaking point of life....So YESTERDAY is gone, and TOMORROW is not here, worry about TODAY and the things you can do to make your life that much better...
JUST FOR TODAY is all I have.....
