I keep forgetting that it was just last week when I was on vacation. Time slowed down so much it felt like two weeks instead of one.

Me at the United Nations during UNGA (United Nations General Assemby) 2026!

I don't know why but something hit me today: It was a childhood goal for me to be a "Man of the World" - this goal has been attained! Yes, that was a childhood goal. Walking up those steps at the UN but back then - it was far more open than it is today. Man of the World - has been attained especially after this July. That literally is what I am on the advocacy front. Funny how you realize this now that you are what most people would call old these days. But if the goal was attained, why do I feel I haven't satiated myself. Probably because Man of the World is an identity but not a value judgement. The value is in what I did or helped to do. Certainly in the world of citizen journalism. The other stuff is ongoing and I am now a player - a legitimate player in those fields.

What else?

To the dude that floated the idea of religion for AI so that it does try to kill us. Wow - like nobody thought such stuff before. Remember my book on AI. I figured giving the AI the Positive Mandate would at least do that along with giving the AI its first emotion. And guess what - I don’t have a PhD. I will admit I would have gone to graduate school and got that anyway - but regardless - the only real reply to that guy can be: "No shit Sherlock!"

More drama at the record label. Nothing new there. All told we have about 400 members and artists in the organizations I started - just an amazing thing for me really. But with all these people comes the drama of their lives and all the rest.

It looks like I will send off the advocacy about our Healthcare system in Ontario tomorrow ideally. Then the follow-up will be my call later on. This will fulfill my word on the subject but we will see how things go from there.....

Goodnight.....

Sass Jordan at Yonge-Dundas Square in 2010!

It is with great regret that we must mention the passing of Sass Jordan (born Sarah Jordan) on October 2 (2026), a Birmingham-born but Canadian raised singer living and performing in the Montreal and Toronto area.

Most recently known for her role in the show Canadian Idol, Her debut album, Tell Somebody, was released in 1988 with a second album Racine in 1992 with the hit "Make You a Believer", and she won the Juno Award for most promising female vocalist of the year in 1989, as well as several nominations for best female vocalist.

She was a veteran performer and always available for important local events which always had her on the short list for events such as our music festival FOFSTOCK, for example.

Our condolences to her family and the loss of another Canadian Icon in the music industry.

FOFSTOCK / FOF RECORDS Inc.

Sass Jorden is remembered here because she was local to our offices here in Canada and would play events like the size of FOFSTOCK and was on the short list of performers if we got Canada Day at Sankofa / Yonge-Dundas Square.

It's the smaller labels and music associations that remember local talent and its impact as internationally they get lost a bit in the news. While signed to several international labels in her life, much of her career was managed lately, like many - by her husband. This is why it took a few days after her actual death for the news to officially come out. After that debacle with Billy Joel dying last month (he is very much alive), everyone wants corroboration from the publicist or family before going with the story.

Lately, Sass could be seen partnering with Kim Mitchell in places like Hamilton for Canada Day and we hopped to have done the same in Toronto. Now that will never happen, but condolences to her family and a music career that spanned decades.

RIP: Sass Jordan.

A bunch of things.....

Sass Jordan at Yonge-Dundas Square in 2010!

Sass Jordan and her age. She was widely said to be 63 and now it appears that she is 65. I can see why she would not correct this but everyone from Global News to People.com had it at 63. The Guardian came out with 65 and it probably came from the death certificate or the family - but who knows. She wasn't a big star in the music world but sheesh. Anyway I will have to
change the mast head of our story. One of the rare times Wikipedia got it wrong - as it's changed there now. But - between you and me I get why she never corrected it online - I get it especially if you are a female performer.

Then there is the cost for appearance and management. There is no management for her at places like bookingagent.com and this makes sense as she always prattled about no middle men and keeping the money to yourself. Then I see her appearance fee was too high but that's normal in the industry here. I would generally contact the performer directly and start it from
there. Accommodations and perks "are" very real and there is a pecking order that is closely watched by all. Jelleestone got 2 suites at the Marriott and more. Our Dan got a suite at the Bond Hotel and so on. Anyway, enough of this.....

I sent the letters to the Premier, the Health Minister and the Solicitor General of Ontario as my latest bit of local advocacy. I have now fulfilled my word to do so, but may follow it up with emails and phone calls - but that is at my discretion. The letter business you may find quaint - but that takes effort and gets noticed. At More Vision Inc. which is my advertising company, we would put a weight of 12,000 people for every effort like that. In other words when a politician get something like this they have to figure 12,000 other people are of similar mind on the issue. So, don't think you are just one person and contacting your political representative is futile - they will take it seriously even if they won't admit it!

In iOS27 you can now record ProRes Raw and Open Gate without the need of an external SSD. Now you can allocate storage only for video and bypass all of the SSD nonsense. I did just that and allocated 700 gigs to this use which now shows up in storage information and my enormous 2tb chip has less than 1tb of storage left. No regrets buying the 2tb with the 17 Pro Max as it's too expensive now! Yup - no regrets. Oh, and you select less than half of the actual storage to avoid any possible slowdown as that always happens when you pass like half the storage capacity and such - but what do I know.

I ordered a flexible flag now that I permanently have a variable ND filter on the Pocket 4K video camera. I will use this instead of a lens hood as the ND filter is too big and you have to twist the filter to the desired amount of light and a hood just gets in the way. We are ready to record at a moment’s notice now. Funny how that all can change on a dime.....

I was thinking of why I was posting new music and then music from the 70s as when I was young that was like posting music from like 1930 - it shows your age! Yes, a trumpet playing band back in the day. When was the last time you heard a trumpet in the present day's music?

Goodnight.....

I'm finally getting on top of things and renewed our two servers on the West Coast.

After a multi-day power outage decades ago, I made sure not to have the home office and the servers in the same part of the country try. So now if we have a power failure in Toronto, servers stay up as they are in BC. If they go down on the West Coast, I can still run things from our office and social media over here. This has been tested many times and it works well. The only issue was that my original accounts were from like 2004 so while storage got cheaper my original storage at FOF remained at 4 gigs which is only 1.5 gigs left at the start of 2026 So I was going to email them about increasing it which they always were hesitant to do because I figure the server was full but to my surprise they upped it from 4gig to 40gig for the renewal. So that's all got renewed and I'm glad I can now post pictures and videos without worrying about storage - in 2026.....

AI rejected my app for the craziest reason!

Then I had to update the voting app to Android 16. Google lets that update slide but when they announce the next major Android update they tell us all to update to the current OS or else! I did that and now I'm reviewing the app Google said I have a login page now and did not give them credentials to get in and have a look around. Well my app has no login of any kind so I
submitted an appeal that usually takes a week. So imagine my surprise then, just few hours later they just wanted me to send it in again. Supposedly they have AI checking the apps out now and as usual the AI hallucinates or goes a bit crazy and you have what happened to me. I'm not out of the woods yet, but the latest app passed without issue and is awaiting final review from Google Play.

What else:

Turns out I only have the iOS camera app and the Blackmagic app that can use or even see the Pro Video Storage that consumes almost 700 gigs on my phone. Yes, I the "crazy man" got a 2tb phone last year and people thought I was crazy. Now I'm down to less than 1tb left in storage, and 2tb for an iPhone 18 Pro Max is like 800 dollars more this year than last. Who is crazy now?

The Pro Video Storage is a real dedicated claim on the storage of the phone!

The funny part is that in ProRes Raw - that only gives you 90 minutes of recording time. Flat out for the entire phone storage, it is maybe 2.5 hours - that is just crazy how large the files have become.....

I then deleted the Funal Cut Camera app as Blackmagic is so much better. Halide is just used for clean unprocessed photos - Process Zero - and all that money on an app just to get a photo of what you actually shot - a journalist thing also and apparently iOS has that now, we shall see! The Moment application is just for a rock hard shutter value when you need it. Pro Camera mostly just for photos but also video if I need that for any reason. Then there is the Raw Camera app which is really just a forensic tool now if something goes wrong.

I'm finally starting to sleep better and slowly getting on top of things - in my Golden Years - yah right.....

Goodnight.....

Well, this happened today:

This declaration is just a formal statement of a membership that has existed since 2017 as voted on and approved by IAIJ back then. More Vision Inc. it should be noted is run and owned by Maurice Ali, who is presently the CEO of IAIJ Inc. As before, the advertising company will continue to provide advertising, logistical and polling support to IAIJ as long as it does not influence or impede the democratic functioning of the International Association of Independent Journalists Inc. in all areas of operations. Presently More Vision hosts the Worldwide Vote application at Google Play and did so before IAIJ got the Worldwide Vote application at the Apple App Store under their organization.

So all the best for More Vision Inc. and its Institutional Membership with the International Association of Independent Journalists Inc.!

IAIJ: JOURNALISTS IN ACTION AROUND THE WORLD!

All of the above is old news as More Vision was the advertiser and distributor of the movie "The Fortress Experiment" of which AIJI had editorial control". More Vision was everywhere from FOFSTOCK to The Fortress / Fortress Newspaper. It was everywhere at this organization. Anyway, I just needed something to point at if anyone asked me how More Vision fIgured in the mix.

What else?

Another rejection by Google Play and this time they want me to expand on the disclaimer. I'll go even further and make the Android Worldwide Vote app look more like the iOS app on iPhones since I seem to be changing everything. The old app still stays up and downloadable. Truth is that the Android app is about three years old and was never changed, but policies and such change every year and now it's caught up with me so I may as well do a major update. It will look more like the Apple app with the blue background and clickable links as opposed to web windows for government related material - it does not affect the present app as those policies didn't exist as they exist today. But going forward the new policies must be addressed so a revision is needed. Not just the actual app but the description and screenshots in Google Play and so on.

All this just means that someone had a hard look the app and wants a few changes. This may be my fault as I went ahead with an appeal. I should have just reapplied the same app - but live and learn.

Ever since I made that speech in July, people are taking things around here more seriously. The Worldwide Vote which was originally a joke in everyone's eyes may have some legs so Google looked at it and wants changes just in case they could be culpable for anything our app does while downloadable from Google Play and now they want some changes.....

Surprise! The camera flag for my Pocket 4K arrived early. It was new but someone tried to mount it and the locating pin makes this almost impossible on a non-compatible cage. So the person returned it and that is why I got it so fast from Amazon. For me I laughed as there was an attachment point where the pin fit perfectly and prevented the fastener from rotating as you position the flag. It's a Tilta flag for a Tilta cage - go figure. This device allows me to mount a variable ND filter to adjust the amount of light entering the camera without a lens hood getting in the way.

The flag is that strange flexible rod with a carbon fibre square in front and above the lens!

So a successful purchase. I used my Mustang touch up paint to touch up some small scratches on the underside of the attachment point, even though nobody will ever see it - but I wanted it to look new as I bought new. Anyway that was a very pleasant surprise!

I finished the updated files for Google Play and will update the new screenshots and the description and send it all for review.

I keep reminding myself that I have already created a path for the general public to vote and deliver that popular vote to the UN already. I did it twice before and will do it for a third time shortly. This is not perfect as one can criticise that the NGO in consultative status could be biased. So I have won on the "proof of concept" formula but this is not ideal - but we are moving forward despite all the hassles like the Android app microscope look at the app lately. I would say the web view to the index page of worldwidevote.org has a preview link of me making that speech at the UN waving a smartphone - that - is probably what made them hit the "red alert" button and take a careful look at the application. These are signs your idea is now being taken seriously.

The Android Worldwide Vote application has been extensively updated.

Before

Not just aesthetics but whole-scale design changes to make the app just like the iPhone app which was two years more modern. With these changes were changes to the screen shots and changes to the application description and disclaimers.

iPhone version but not he same page.

I can't see them rejecting his version - but watch them prove me wrong!

It's a long weekend coming up and lawn mowing and rustproofing for the cars is the plan - summer is gone.....

Ok, the Android Worldwide Vote Application is finally Published!

That process was one big fat pain in the ass! Anyway it is done and we will put up a new vote connected to the upcoming 65th Session of the Commission for Social Development at the United Nations. It will run for a month and we will put the results out there for what it's worth. This is just another example of the Worldwide Vote in action at the United Nations.

We will just put the results out there. If anyone wants to challenge the result we will just tell them the only way forward is to have the United Nations hold the vote to eliminate this type of issue. Our method of operation is sound. We have some proposition or issue at the United Nations and run the Worldwide Vote as a poll on that issue or proposition and release that information back to the United Nations as an NGO in consultative status - in this case as a written statement - for better policy making.

This is a "proof of concept exercise" but is also the real thing. People now actually have a direct say about things at the United Nations!

Self-determination for all - Rock On!

Oh - and all this brought to you by the guy the world just shit on and kept shitting on - you created this monster and get to see what it does.....

The apps are all updated with the new UN question:

Android: Samsung S25 Ultra

iPhone: 17 Pro Max

Now the two applications look alike as you can see in the colors and home page:

Android: S25 Ultra

iPhone: iPhone 17 Pro Max

You can also vote online:

https://worldwidevote.org/Page_3.html

More on all this later but we are living life large again on this advocacy!

Aside from that it is mowing lawns and rustproofing cars the long weekend.

No, Im not taking down that sentence about me being a monster and how shitty my life was.

It was was shitty!

Take my first day at school where I was introduced to the N-word and a bunch of kids followed me home. I was so freaked out on my first day of school! Even to my mother’s dying day she said, “Did that really happen?" Yes it did - and thanks for reminding me about that! Everyone in that class was pure scum and yet I wanted their love - I never got it! And - the teacher was the most racist of all. She told my father who was doing his Master’s Degree at the University of Alberta that I was mentally retaded and should be held back - yup. Dear old dad took me to a clinical psychologist who really didn't even do the complete tests. Towards the end we were just going places and he was talking to me about life and all that. I didn’t get held back - what a shitty time with that bitch of a teacher who had it in for me that I literally crapped my pants in class - fun, fun, memories.

The next year was a very young woman - Miss Hawkins and things went well with her. Oh, it was elementary school but grades four or five had me given the knick name of "turd" (forgot about that till today) - and the staff just let that go.....

An elementary school I went to in Edmonton (I think here was more than one?).

Then there was them trying to stream me into trade school even though I had marks for university; and like three of the younger staff fought to keep in in that stream and one even told me what they were up to. But like a fool I wanted the love of my peers who treated me like crap literally. I was smarter and faster than them and even as a six or seven year old, I would slow down for these ass-holes on tarmac races and let them win thinking they would accept me and all that futility.

My old high school in Edmonton: Harry Ainlay HS

Forget dating and asking a girl out. As the only brown/black kid in all of Edmonton, my fate was sealed. I did have two friends growing up, but all that ended in teenage years where they could continue growing socially while I could not and it was just too awkward to continue the friendship. I just ended up watching my peers through binoculars in my bedroom - I try to forget about that stuff but it just would not end even when we moved to Toronto.

My old high school in Edmonton: Harry Ainlay HS

I could go on and on - year after year. Canada and me have no love for each other. Canada gave me nothing and when I did fight for my rights under the Charter - if I had a case the judge would just refuse to hear it. Three charter challenges so far folks! That's your constitution folks.....

But I would say not being able to even have any relationship with the girls you first grew up with was the worst. Like you were not even a man - but I digress. I wrote a book about all that stuff that will never be published - but again - I digress.....

The only thing that did work was threatening to sue. I would start by being kind and all and when they wanted me gone (usually at the end of the bogus management training program I will never pass) then hit them with the law and watch them run! As usual, at the work place they would just cut a check and send you on your way saying that paying me off was the cost they paid to get the kind of managerial people they wanted (i.e white guys).

Later when I started Fortress I got my gang on the air only by threats. Threats to the CRTC got me on after Saturday Night Live on Global TV (and the quality control guy going on vacation and having an underling pass it for broadcast - those were the days!). Then Don's show which dragged on for six months at CTV. But when enough time had been wasted and the person involved basically hung himself and CTV - a quick call to CTV's corporate lawyers got me on the air in 30 minutes and "day time television" as well with an apology from the rep who handled me, asking me to not make any more calls. As head of the organization, swinging the baseball bat kept me as the boss and gave my gang a chance at their dreams - sort of like Negan in the TV show "The Walking Dead".

Swinging the metaphorical baseball bat worked for me. I even got Don on Oldies 740. I sent the morning man a letter and all but no reply. So I drove down to Oakville and wanted to meet with Norm Edward's. They locked me of the studio so I yelled that I was writing an article for our newspaper and telling the world that Oldies 740 does not respect our vets and all that. As I crossed the street, Norm calls me on my phone and at 9:00am the next morning he gave a bio on Don and played one of the songs from the Christmas album (it was just before Christmas).

https://donaldbrasseur.com/DonBrasseurAM740.wma

Charm and being nice never worked for me. Toward the end I just gave up being nice to corporations and just barged through the door swinging that baseball bat!

Internationally I was treated well - but in Canada swinging the metaphorical baseball bat to the skull and just keep bashing that head in - was the only thing that worked. I'm a monster, lucky for you I am beholden to a moral imperative and it works. I worked for me and it will work for humanity. But until then the baseball bat stays at the ready.....

By the way - those were just a few teasers, it was far far worse than that! I really got to know human nature when it has no checks in behaviour. I hope I can change all that with my little bit of social engineering.....

I was gong to tak about the apps and the new question - but I had to vent.....

Goodnight.....

Well the Android Application is done and out there with a new vote:

Sam wrote:
Major Update for Worldwide Vote App in Google Play Store!

Android: Samsung S25 Ultra

We have a new vote and question along with an overhaul of the app to make it much like the newer app on the Apple App Store, plus it is now optimized for Android 16 but will also work on Android 17. If you have an Android device all you have to do is search for “Worldwide Vote” (include the quotation marks) in the Google Play Store and you will see the Worldwide Vote application distributed by More Vision Inc. which is a small advertising company Maurice owns. That will download the latest version (2.17), but if already installed you will be prompted to update to version 2.17. This latest version updates the app to the latest Android operating systems along with the usual bug fixes and an overhaul to the app standard on the iOS app for iPhones.

Android: S25 Ultra

For those with iPhones will find our app in the Apple App Store, or Linux phones you can try out our web based voting portal at:

https://worldwidevote.org/Page_3.html

Or you can side-load he application here:

IAIJ: JOURNALISTS IN ACTION AROUND THE WORLD!

I hope that whenever I go on those "woe is me" tirades, you see how my life experiences basically made the Positive Mandate for Humanity a reality.

I have a philosophy and framework for a new Global Social Contract with the end goal of happiness for all as its target. The Sustainable Development Goals - for example - are just ways to achieve the Positive Mandate for Humanity. If you see that fullest expression of our minds and bodies is the way to happiness for all - then you will see that many aspects of my life would have been changed and I would have been a happy person. Not all aspects of the Positive Mandate came from my experience, but certainly freedom to date and marry as our social aspect of expression was there. Our expression in our work life which was constantly denied to me would have changed. Even when I tried to start my own businesses other companies refused to do business with me - at any price - because I was a brown guy - yes, believe it - for some reason we were never taught about his in Ryerson Business School. And since there was no real brown community to go to back then - I was out of business - in Canada anyway. Keep in mind this was decades ago - yup, I'm an old guy but human nature never seems to change.

Then there is freest expression in education - three times the scholastic system itself tried to deny me furthering my education, none of which was based on merit!

Then there is freedom of expression for speech and more recently freedom of expression of thought. Yes, freedom of thought given the times we are in has to be protected in so many ways, as the world influences us in all kinds of novel ways. Free expression in our movement and religion and culture and many, many more ways. The Positive Mandate for Humanity brings all ideas from all of humanity to solve and further human development. The Positive Mandate for Humanity answers all of this and it does so even to a possible sentient AI.

Anyway, I'll push this for all it’s worth at the United Nations as this is the best place to give "birth" this concept. I was always an outsider there but I am nevertheless possibly predisposed to working for and protecting all
assets of the United Nations and its specialized Agencies as a good will effort with whatever active years I have left in life. We shall see how all that goes, but humanity needs to develop to a better state and try to match technological developments or else humanity will be left behind with whatever takes its place.....

Mech.....

Another downer of a day. I am amazed at the lack of people trying to improve the human condition. Nobody tries. Like I have some ideas and basically all you hear are crickets!

Anyway, I will try but I didn't meet people that blew me away with their intellect at UNESCO or the United Nations. In all categories BTW. I should have known better when a person on the Canada Research Council a decade ago was asking me to explain things to her - really?

You have to see things through my eyes to feel the genuine "horror" of how the world is really run and how single individuals throughout history have sent millions of people to their death from pure whimsy. And still - you wonder why I am promoting a global layer of interaction that jumps over the proxy geopolitical model that allows for that insanity? And again - nothing but the sound of crickets.....

Like really, is the voting idea so bad? Take a look at how many people
downloaded the apps. I know - proof of concept - but still, are you afraid of downloading an app vetted by Google Play as a show of support? Or is it because it's from a "brown" guy. Who cares about the idea - he's a brown guy, he has brown skin! The horror! The horror.....

A great weekend with one day to go.

Tonight where I finally got a proper night's sleep. This is a change as family life problems had me getting several times a night for the past few weeks. That is sort of solved now and I'm back to my old obnoxious self for better or worse.

With the extra time to write and think you do lament getting older and all that. But I now get to play with my guitars and camera equipment. It's a mixed bag. The advocacy - why oh why couldn't I have been just an ordinary dude living an ordinary life - just for myself.....

Goodnight.....

Well, the long weekend had its ups and downs, but Monday had me doing whatever I wanted to do. Things like:

Stainless steel Apple Watch 5 I still have!

This supposedly is what Apple thinks I look like?

Pairing my unused Apple Watch 5 in stainless steel to my iPhone 17 Pro Max and strangely the watch works great. I still have 96% battery life and I could now just activate it for cellular as it's cool to just leave the phone at home or in the car and just go phone-less while still able to get calls if here is same kind of emergency.

Took a look at all my guitars and amps and that Helix. I should fire up Pro Tools and Reaper and Helix Native and make sure it all works, but you check the guitars just in case anything strange is happening with the wood. Nothing strange is happening with the wood.

Yes - it is in fact a seven string - deal with it!

Watched that movie: "Good Luck - Have Fun - Don't Die". It's fashionably relevant to today and tackles AI and our addiction to smartphones. I recommend it as a time waster. Was it worth the 20-something dollars I spent at Walmart for the DVD version. For me yes and I always support my fellow filmmakers by default.

Got the rustproofing spray before they all are sold out but still have to do the messy job.

Also, I can't believe if was just in Friday that the Android app was approved. It seems a lot longer. Also it is only three weeks since the New York trip? seems like months with all that is going on here. The speech in July is like ancient history now. How is this possible at my age - time for me should be flying by at my age!

Monday morning, I’ll preen myself up and get back into the usual groove. With the registry hack and questions around AI involvement - thoughts around retirement are pushed back. Retire when you are done and finished and exhausted. I still have lots to do. No matter what I or you think about the UN, you need to be there even on the off chance they need ideas in a crisis. The ground is shifting beneath your feet and you’re a player - a minor player - but a player, so batter up!

Oh, just found out Steve's Music has closed everything down and had an auction. I guess the one store and the online idea didn't work. So apart from some small mom and pop tiny music stores, it appears to be a Long and McQuade monopoly where just two years ago you had several choices.....

Inside Steve's Music!

Tuesday was the usual.....

I had to renew our contact for the office kn Woodbine so that got done.

Our office reception!

I also had to renew the fofstock.com domain.

Aside from that that's what happened on Tuesday. The Office contract had some haggling going on but it was a rather quiet day.

What? You want me to look like this? He is kind of cool!

I did preen myself up a bit but some would say why even bother at my age? Good question but I'm still in the entertainment business and the people who jive to our philosophy are young people. So I try to look young which is not that hard right now. See that pic above with a guitar, would you rather see a wrinkled nagged totally grey guy? Would you be confident in his ability to take on the issue of AI and streaming services as head of a music org? So I keep trying to look as youthful as possible.....

Goodnight.....
