Ok, I should have the video of me speaking at the High Level Political Forum at the United Nations on July 15 (2026) in New York.

This UN forum goes for about a week starting on July 7 and ends on the 15th for the General Debate. The last people to formally speak in the General Debate are the NGOs. It is hard to get to speak and I almost gave up applying this year because I never got selected to speak in the past. Good thing I continued to just go through the motions because we got our chance this year!

In the YouTube video link below, is my speech on behalf of IAIJ, but really on behalf of all of Humanity to have a voice at the United Nations. This speech and its message was hard to get to a high level political forum at the UN and even though I'm biased, that speech was probably the most impactful for humanity as it would give a vote to everyone everywhere and this gives everyone true self-determination for all. I'm very proud to have been the one fate selected to get this idea out there!

The real impact is that the message was approved by ECOSOC and thus the United Nations to be delivered at one of its most important functions, and as such after I delivered the speech - general public voting at the United Nations as guaranteed by the Charter of the United Nations - is now a legitimate talking point!

Making the Worldwide Vote at the United Nations a legitimate talking point was a goal for me and finally having reached it was actually very satisfying even though it means I have made even more enemies by taking the formerly crazy idea to an actual reality and talking point at the United Nations. I should also be advocating at the UN at General Assembly in September unless some people there are seriously working against me - we shall see.....

For General Assembly I have booked rooms at two hotels to avoid the last minute "fiasco" that occurred with this trip. The photo below is the window view out of my hotel room on Tuesday night! Now that's a view, but unfortunately during General Assembly that same room will cost over a thousand dollars a night!

Anyway, I hope you can see that in New York I was this CEO of a UN NGO with an idea to transform the UN and the world - everything first class and then to face that stereotyped crap coming home would just have driven all of you reading this crazy in my situation. Sure, I may be the saddest example of a legitimate CEO ever, but the optics or "schtick" work for a guy who fights for the little person, everyone who just has to take whatever is given to them and no recourse to change anything - until now! So I'm the saddest legitimate CEO out there, but I wear my reality with pride knowing I can be at the vortex of power and influence and then dealing with the lowest of issues everyone faces in day to day life - I just love that even though it has its moments both great and despicable, that is my reality because it is "reality" - and you all saw both sides in less than a day!

Wow, that actually looks impressive in scale! You don't notice that when you are up there. Like those people at the high table are in comfortable talking distance, but it looks further away from this perspective. Anyway I'll have a link to that video below if you are interested. In the first normal landscape video you get the English translation because the President is speaking Spanish - so you had to listen to your NGO name to know it was your turn. That's how it is at the UN, several official languages and you just have to deal with its usage at events.

Anyway I kept something from you so far. Making a provocative speech like this is not something everyone will like. So being the coward I am (Coward: First Class - actually), the plan of action was to make the speech and then hop upstairs to the cafeteria to eat some real food and then back to the hotel where I change and straight to LaGuardia and in particular the secure departure area. Fact is I do not want to chance any "shenanigans" coming out of the UN. You could be followed by all kinds of Spooks from all kinds of countries with l all kinds of nefarious agendas - and I'm not making any of those possibilities easy! Back in the day I would usually go to the Museum of Modern Art and hang out there and have a real supper and then off to the airport - but not this time.

Paranoid? Of course, but it's easy for you to dismiss the feeling unless you are actually there in the moment. One thing that happened when the far right took me in - was that I learned how to take care of myself. They would show me stuff - and I'd be like: "why are you showing me this" and they would give you the line "Stuff to know - because you never know!". Now I know! Thank you far right! I don't want to have to make sure I'm not followed (yes there is a procedure). I don't want to do the "dance of death" with some Spook who is younger and better trained than me. Maybe just rough me up to make me abandon the advocacy - or worse! The one's from Africa and the third world you have a chance - they can be bought! As the saying goes: "There is nothing more reliable than a man whose loyalty can be bought with hard cash". Just pay more than the other guy and he comes back to his employer with an excuse. The real problem is the Spooks that actually believe in what they are doing. None of that for me - so off to the airport I go. I did not take the 4 or 5 train to 125 Street and Lexington like I usually do. Instead I took the 6 train up by 5th Avenue - nothing done as routine!

That is why I spent 8 hours at LaGuardia. There is nothing quite as secure as the secure departure zone in an airport where nobody has weapons. I tried to get an earlier flight but no go. I did find places to hang out like this open ceiling glassed in human terrarium where you could lay down and relax and watch the planes. The only problem was the occasional jet that would turn around there and blast everyone with jet noise and jet exhaust! Then there was the recliner chairs where you basically could sleep on it if you wanted. I spent my time exploring the place because it was huge!

So I'm back home, still putting things away. I had to relearn how to edit on the Avid editor as Resolve all of a sudden needed to connect to the internet to validate the license. Those editors are all off-line so I had to get a usb wifi plug and connect to a hotspot - it works now.

I'm on a real rant so I hope you found that entertaining.....

Vacation is over - it's back to reality. Getting back into my usual groove:

We should have a post at IAIJ and here about the speech as it's all over our organization and part of Humanity Assembly and all the rest. A great outcome and as things die down I didn't get any horrific bad luck - just lots of niggling bad luck to make up for the "Good Luck" on Wednesday with the speech. Let's hope it stays that way. The funny thing is how bummed I am when I get some bad luck and I just wanted it all to be good luck - but rationally it goes both ways even if it's just perception. So you just accept it and slowly move your existence back to the "grey zone" and recover.

On Saturday I archived all the speech files and put those files into the editors and all that. Sunday morning I videotaped myself about the week in video if I want to use it later. I've kept a lot of stuff I have in the backpack because I may be back at the United Nations in eight weeks but it also makes for a "bug out bag" that I always laughed at back in the day. I also did a quick look around the house and can see the squirrels making a hole to enter the attic. If I have time on Sunday I'll close it and keep an eye on things. Washed the dishes and recharging batteries for the cameras. The vacation is over.....

This always happens but nobody at all just came out and congratulated me on speech at home. Many knew about it but like all the other times - nobody said anything including family. Of the people I kept informed my sister was the most enthusiastic but took her a day to reply. The others gradually showed an interest - but that was it. This in the end is a very private experience in my world, not like on TV.

This advocacy is like that stuff. Especially the ballsy "out there" advocacy I love. After all is said and done you are just some brown guy making a speech almost lost in the world and the world moves on oblivious to it all. For you this is all meaningful as you are in it. Anyone at the UN who jives to our cause and secretly are watching is a thing, but as you come out of that moment the whole thing starts to get small and smaller in significance. Actually that was a lie. I still think it was a moment in the advocacy of a global vote. Just one part of it but a necessary part. So I relished the moment and achievement for what it was personally.

Back home I am getting back to my normal life. The most urgent thing is the squirrels and that hole that needed to be patched up. Did James Bond or Jason Bourne ever have those problems. No - because that is too close to the lives of the audience that came to escape their lives in the movies. So the reality is what you see in me. Especially that crap that happened coming back to Canada!

Back to work.....

Of course when I was in New York people want to join as members. It was only now that I get to look at the applications. The strange thing is that one has no real presence on the net and just an avatar of a young cute lady. And of course there are problems replying and you should click on these links there to rectify it - while the others had no issues. I tested in my platform just like the lady's and everything is fine - hummm.....

The actual letter sent to CEO of Meta Platforms Inc., Mark Zuckerberg (and anti-AI labelling)!

I am also pausing the Meta advocacy to see what happens at the UN and its Satellite Agencies. I mentioned this a while back with the speech being the "acid test" for continuing with the advocacy there.

I'll also rework the YouTube speech descriptions and put something out on social media but this is not that big a deal for social media - this was a big thing for me and the organization personally. To go from here in 2017:

This was a grind and frustration, but getting on the floor at the UN at a high level event and nailing the speech with all the trouble that happened - really energized me!

Back home it was all catch up. I'm sort of back to normal but still need to catch up on sleep and a couple of stress free days and I should be as good as new.

First up after that is back to work on the charity application firm FOFSTOCK - remember that?

I can deal with losing my finger and toe nails, but breeding super bugs in your gut or permanent vision problems and worst of all - kidney stones! I'm good for passing on a trip to Mars. A weekend doing nothing!

I will look around the Mustang specifically the bolts holding on the jacking rails. Look for leaks. I'm sure the mechanics tried there hardest to find more work than the brake job they did. I will be diligent and go from one end to the other. Such a fantastic car that has never left me stranded. All I did was replace the battery, replaced the external water pump under warranty and the recent brake job - and the car is over nine years old!

The best car I have ever owned - a 2017 V6 Mustang! All my other cars (2 Fox body Mustangs 5.0, my dad's Buick Roadmaster with the Corvette LT1 (5.7 V Cool

and my first car (a green 1979 Mercury Marquis) with a 302 Ford V8. Every other car I had was a V8 with a solid rear axle - the way God intended. I should also mention the V6 is faster than all the V8 cars I ever owned in every metric and with the speed governor off as it is now that 6 will do 157mph (260kph) faster than the Fox body 5.0s at 142 and the Roadmaster Station wagon that tops out at 147mph. honourable mention to the Roadmaster which can take eight people and the family dog - 147mph per hour with the governor off - F**king incredible!

However, that V6 Mustang has changed my thinking. First, it met my childhood specs for a sports car I always wanted:

Aluminum body panels.

Four wheel disc brakes

Four wheel independent suspension

Top speed over 150 miles per hour

Low slung two door sports car (this was taken for granted back then but needs to be mentioned these days).

The car never fails to start and take me places. This has to change as it gets older - but the R60 transmission is legendary for reliability and that Mazda V6 at 305 - 314 horsepower on 93 octane and 345 on race gas has the nickname "immortal" with no hardware changes and just a tune. People have literally put a turbo and NOS on this motor and it refuses to burst - and this is not a one-off experience! When the fuel pump broke down on the Roadmaster - again - I was going to change my life and buy a new Hyundai Elantra. But I just couldn't do it!

I started looking but the first was what Ford was doing with the Mustangs. It was the last year for the V6 as the new 2018 Mustangs were to be world cars and a turbo 4 and V8 the only options. The only V6 cars left were rental contract over runs with no options. It was a very quick "no" to the 4 cylinder and in Canada they did not import the base V8 so this was a 48 thousand car for the V8. Then there was the forgotten V6 with an engine power spec based in 87 octane to make the turbo 4 look better. No options and all the performance mags had race spec 4 and 8 cylinder cars while the 6 had to go around the track on the all season Hancock tires - Hahaha.....

I really looked around the car and it seemed tough with thick sheet metal like the old Fox Body Mustangs. But a V6 - I sat ass down on the asphalt with all the dust and gravel and just kept looking at the car - then it was decided.....

So I knew better and bought a Black V6 Mustang from Fleet Sales in like 10 minutes. Very cheap at 27k and around the price of a new Hyundai Elantra - how is this possible! No options, no test drive, you just bought it at a narrow price range that suited commercial vehicles to get a better price for tax reasons. My younger self would never have believed I bought any 6 cylinder car - and a Mustang - Sacrilege! And this car of all cars - has become the best car I ever owned.....

My dad Buick Enclave is a turd. We replaced the entire transmission at 60km and await the engine timing chain to stretch as they all do. This goes through all lines of GM with the 3.6 V6. It technically is still his car with my name on the insurance. I was going to just buy the thing years ago but he pays for the expensive repairs now so this works for me.

The weekend of doing nothing continues. I did do something and that was buy another phone - this is the last one for a while:

The new Pixel 9 Pro!

That is the Pixel 9 Pro! There is a long story here but the short post is that this was the only Pixel I could find that was OEM unlocked - and new. Brand new without a scratch anywhere and one charge cycle (by me when I charged it) since manufactured.

I did try to get a Pixel 10 Pro but they were always carrier locked and thus no OEM unlocking to install Graphene OS which was the plan. One guy tried everything, connecting to wifi and putting his sim card in it to deactivate the block and it was still greyed out. Finally I gave up and went back
to be place where I got the Pixel 7, and they use to have an ordinary Pixel 9 but not today. The Pro that was new and a slightly dented up Pixel 9 Pro XL for a hundred bucks more. Both unlocked - so I was going to buy one of them because everywhere else only had locked phones. So I got the brand new phone and breathed a sigh of relief as privacy phones are now on life support and probably gone in a shot time for good.

Google is getting more locked down with its phones and Graphene while the gold standard of privacy OS - has that criminal smell around it these days - the Pixel Graphene collaboration may be coming to an end especially when Graphene starts shipping with a Motorola phone soon. So I wanted one more updated Pixel with Graphene and got it. Since it was a Pro version I added the Pixel Camara app, the wifi calling app, VLC and Signal and that was it for the new phone. I will figure out how to get some songs and videos on it later but I installed Graphene in the new phone and it will stay that way! The Pixel 7 stays with Graphene and is even more secure than the Pixel 9. It was a regular Pixel 10 with the triple cameras or the 9 Pro but the ten has crappier cameras than the Pros but looks the part - so I went with the 9 Pro (plus all the Pixel 10a were locked). What about the upcoming Pixel 11? Word has it that they may drop ram from 16gig down to 12 because of data centres snatching up all the ram - this will be a downgrade.

Anyway, I'm done with phones for now. The Worldwide Vote app needs to be updated for the latest Android version in about a month - so more fun stuff to come.

Cellphones are being locked down and people are being forced to use phones that do nothing but spy on their every move - literally - and collect data on every transaction with a 2 percent cut to boot! I hate that I had to buy another phone to secure another better and newer privacy phone before they all disappear - and feel lucky I could get one that could be rooted for Graphene. But it is done and I'm done with phones for a while.

You want privacy phone and you are now lumped it with criminals that also use these phones. I have a legitimate reason for privacy phones as I am a journalist, was editor of a real paper newspaper and CEO of an international journalist association. However you still get lumped in with the drug dealers and mafia. Go to a place and ask if they have any pixels with OEM unlocking and they ask you if you're paying by cash? Probably more expensive that way! They should call these places "Gangsters are US Cellphone Store". Strangely these places are not Kiosks but real brick and mortar stores (online purchases are not popular there) with the cash to pay for them. Anyway - enough of this nonsense, the days are numbered for these phones and I got mine.
