I slept a bit, but it is not too late for the Saturday night movie as we have one extra hour tonight with the change between Standard/Daylight Saving times.
Tesla Cybertruck
Oh, I saw my first Cybertruck on Thursday! Anyway he pulled up beside me and I didn’t notice. Then when the light turned green he floored it and took off - and then I noticed it was a Cybertruck! Man that thing is huge, ugly, and fast!
Goodnight…..

The written statement has been submitted!
By a simple act of hitting the submit button (actually you hit it twice for written statements - don’t ask me why), I have already demonstrated “proof of concept” that the worldwide vote works. Having apps in both app stores means 93.7% of smartphone users worldwide can download the app and vote, with the remainder able to vote at the worldwide vote website or download the APK and side loading onto devices of all kinds.
It is available to all who wish to vote! We kept the same question about general public participation at the UN and in the end had 904 votes with 73.8% in favor of participation at the United Nations and these results have been sent to the UN to be circulated there under UN Council resolution 1996/31. Even if they decide to toss the statement (unlikely) the vote and the results have been delivered for better policy making!
Presenting the idea at UN Headquarters in 2017!
This is big stuff for me personally as this proof of concept is actually the first of its kind as a true worldwide vote for the United Nations. This took years and I had to do it all by myself. This is big stuff as its minimum penetration is a whopping 4.5 billion people but probably more. Plus an almost guarantee of UN delivery because of our status there - but there are thousands of other NGOs if need be (as in if we get kicked out). The first Worldwide vote has actually happened!
There was more to this than meets the eye. I vetted and tried to see if we could get social platform help from places like Meta, X, Snapchat and so on. All the previous advocacy at the United Nations. Basically eight years of work to get here…..
Our Android App on my Pixel 7!
However, this is just a moment for me. All this still flies under the radar for all except those tasked at the UN to keep an eye on me. They know this is just a private victory for me alone. But I can celebrate this moment because it is mine!
We keep at it but now i can actually start to bring the Positive Mandate for Humanity back into the agenda. So far the big moment was 2019 when I held the side event and made a speech about it that February. Everything was a success! Now I have to start that up again.
No word from YDS yet and we will just wait until they contact us. Nathan Phillips Square doesn’t close applications for another week. I actually have some free time to fool around with my guitars and stuff like that. Then the switch will flip and we will all be full on at the orgs…..
Goodnight…..

Things keep moving along…..
I got an email from Sankofa Square showing pricing and we are good with that and I made an offer to put down the security deposit to secure the date right now and get things moving. No reply yet but I hope you all see that we are serious about putting on the music festival next year.
Having said all that, it is all contingent on getting Canada Day!
In other news. It’s garbage day and also yard waste day so when I post this I’ll rush outside to rake leaves and have them take. away…..
Goodnight….. |

The weather was unusually warm on Tuesday, so I will finished the waterproofing. Wednesday will be warm too so I’ll probably finish the rustproofing on both cars.
Then I’ll go back to cleaning the house at my own pace and back to the advocacy. The FOFSTOCK 2 music festival is still in limbo, getting YDS/Sankofa on Canada Day is ultimately up to YDS, and Nathan Phillips Square on Canada Day is not on the official calendar I believe. Central Park is mostly off the list now.
Basically with the corporations we keep cutting fixed costs before the total handoff of control to the directors and managers. FOF Entertainment’s purpose is in limbo now that streaming is off the table. Strangely, IAIJ (archiving) still has a reason for being and for many years I just looked at the corp as a way to avoid lawsuits with the actual IAIJ. More Vision still exists as a very small advertising company. FOF Records is still active as one of the last corporate indie labels in Canada and FOFSTOCK exists for music industry advocacy and live events. FOFSTOCK wiii almost always a “free” event not-for-profit corporation as paid events is literally a closed industry for all but a few.
And that’s basically 20 years of my life as a business man. Not bad given my situation but I had to make the best of a bad situation. Still - things happened and things got done…..
Goodnight….. |

Time off to do things and think…..
I did log into all my YouTube email accounts just in case YouTube decides to delete them due to non-activity. And here we go again! When you put your stuff on other platforms it becomes theirs and they do what they want on a whim. Think your videos on Youtube will survive you? Think again as they will be gone in two years.
Similarity, do you really think getting on Wikipedia will give you some immortality? Probably not as - like YouTube - they will no doubt purge their data base of these pesky human articles that are just the same and boring. Adding to the knowledge base is probably safer long term but anyone can edit and trust me attributions after death for all but the big ones will be screwed around with and renamed.
In the end we are just animated bags of water with a limited lifespan. As the song says “all we are is dust in the wind”. Every now and then our mortality hits us and we have to face reality. Then we get back to normal and push reality to the back of our minds and then die unexpectedly. And that will be your legacy.
I just put my stuff in private servers. Die and all that’s gone in one year - less time than on YouTube. But here I control more.
At your weak moments you see the “live for yourself” and the Anarchy lifestyle arguments - then you realize that if you have something on the others and don’t do your part - then all hell is going to break loose! So you do your part and when you can’t you hand it over to someone else and just die. And that is a human life…..
Goodnight…..

I got rid of yard debris yesterday and was amazed at how easy that was. I had been putting it off but 40 minutes and all those tree branches are at the front to be picked up.
Looking at the guitars more and more these days.
I’m looking at life a bit more whimsically now. I have a chance to actually change things in earth, which is rare and huge, but with that comes the reality of how little you can change the world. Make no mistake, it keeps you motivated and you will still have things to do - that need doing - when you actually retire. I guess the big thing is that you have options. If you are on that merry-go-round, you can actually jump off and watch it keep going with all still on board. The problem is that when you get off it gets really hard to get back on! That is pretty much a reality when you really retire.
I run some orgs and all of that can keep you going in retirement. But the heady risky days are over. I can easily do FOFSTOCK 2 and one offs like that. But starting something completely new is sort of out of the question - unless - it helps the main programs and advocacy that have been around for decades.
But you have options now, you aren’t locked into anything forever. However, choice is always a problem for people. Choice can mean choosing badly. Choosing badly means taking responsibility for your decisions. And - no more starting over. When you get older you find out things are for “keeps”. aYou literally are “playing for keeps”.
If you have talent you can still keep going, but you are reminded that everyone else around you is younger and fit and there you are performing with grey hair and a pot. It still works though - but I had to add that little bit of reality…..
Anyway…..

I’m at the Scott Library at York University.
Scott Library
I took a day off to do something I used to do when I actually had time. Turns out I expected all my former philosophy professors to have retired after 40 years, and most did except for one. This guy got his under graduate degree in 1962 but currently is still a full time faculty member! He was there like when I graduated! He has to be in his mid 80s - how is this possible! But I digress…..
Anyway, I am not about the political left or right. I’m not religious. I don’t care about culture. What I did do is make a Global Social Contract devoid of all that us/them stuff and I am currently pitching it on the world stage. This is “not” one world government as nations and governments will still exist along side of this new emerging layer of governance. But this idea of the Worldwide Vote got its genesis from my personal life experience and my wish to get global consensus from all without proxies and all the other distractions.
Realize that at University the left rules and they did open up my mind. However, the left were the ones that cast me out. Philosophers as a group are the most intelligent and it was they that cast me out. My life would have been so much better and happier if they just followed through with their thinly vailed message that I was in graduate school - then they cast me out. I kept thinking it was something I did - like I always did growing up - but someone else with connections wanted my spot that was that! They cast me out - and I will never forgive them for that.
Strangely, it was the far right that took me in. After being cast out of academia I floundered and was lost wandering around fringe groups. But I found the far right would take me in. Here is an example. I had to take this test to qualify in far right land. I scored well with two mistakes. I protested that the questions were too vague and let in my argument. The guy said no - and then scored me 100% with a smile on his face - that never happened before. The test was just a ruse - he made the decision. By the way - this guy was a cowboy, cowboy hat and everything - it doesn’t get any stranger than that, such an eye opener (schools always cheated me down before). Truth is I was born in Winnipeg and raised in Edmonton and I was 186 miles from wearing a cowboy hat myself - you can’t fake that! - They (the far right) taught me how to take care of myself physically - it was the far right that made a man out of me. I was smart back then and especially with my political ideological mind. But it was the far right that showed me how society really worked, how laws were made and changed and with the help of the police. I helped them politically and even lobbied for a while. The people at the top liked me and made me one of their own with all the rights and privileges. I could flirt and date the white chicks there and that society approved officially. Oh yes, some disapproved - but those at the top approved and enforced it - for the first time in my life I belonged. As for the racists - these were handled like family fights, as funny as it is to say that!
Anyway I out grew them and had my own ideas - like the Worldwide Vote and Positive Mandate. Now everyone hates me.
Understand that I’m pitching a form of one world government. No proxies! There is no left or right. There are no religions. There are no cultures or anything divisive. No proxies with one human with so much power and yet human frailty to make many suffer and die. This is what I’m disseminating and promoting with my new ideas on the world stage!
I don’t care about political parties or nations or religions or race or gender or any of that “us against them” stuff. A new layer of human involvement. I can’t wallow in my past, I have only a few active years left and it’s time for humanity to move on…..
Goodnight…..

Back to the usual…..
Peaceful protest - then off to the concentration camps!
Because of the elections Stateside I am a bit wary of going there in the first few weeks of the new administration. I won’t get into US politics as I stay away from that sort of thing - unless it affects me…..
Not a concentration camp - note the fence!
So if there really is an immediate round up of illegal aliens - I don’t want to be a part of it. My dear departed best friend was Chinese. During WW2 his Chinese great grandfather was caught up in the Japanese internment. He was sent to a concentration camp and had his home and business sold to White folks for next to nothing - here in Canada where I live. His father spent his whole life trying to get retribution for the loss - especially - since the guy was Chinese! And I knew this man (the interned grandfather) well - so history will not repeat itself! At least for me personally…..
Not a concentration camp - note the fence!
I don’t want that to happen to me - obviously. I have registered for the 63rd Session of the Commission for Social Development in February but the new administration comes in late January. So I applied as in-person and virtual, so if things get “questionable” in January I just stay home. I could day trip it to New York very early in January and get my UN grounds pass then - and that probably will be the plan. Later in the year I’ll probably be safe, but will have that UN pass dangling off my neck, so if any official sees me that should be enough in Manhattan. Normally I hide the pass - but now I may have to put out the “not worth the fu*king trouble” vibe over there. We shall wait and see - but those who fail to learn from history are condemned to repeat it!
As for that Central Park concert: Well this puts another issue on the table. Basically I think New York is now a no go.
I hope now you all understand why I went the way I did with my advocacy. When I was 9 years old I thought racism was going away because of the civil rights movement in the States. Now I’m an old man and nothing has changed. There is no left or right in me, no religion or man/woman - only one person one vote on a global level. I have some ideas and you all watch the push back to even acknowledge the existence of governance outside all the problems of past systems. Anyway, this is my life…..
Goodnight…..

It’s Remembrance Day…..
Don during WW2
First on the list is Donald Brasseur. His nick name was “Boots” and that carried on to his vaudeville stage name after the war. He actually landed on the beaches of Normandy and encountered sniper fire, which he and others took care of. Long story short, he and his troop fought onward until he was injured in the Falaise Gap. His story was the kind of tour I watched on TV in shows like “Combat”. Don was given an Honor Guard Funeral and resides at the military cemetery in Hamilton.
I put out two CDs of Harmonica music with him and made a half hour TV documentary that aired on CTV in 2009 and a longer one hour documentary that Aired on Prime in 2019. Click on the link below to see that show.
Don in the centre of his act: The Three Reeds!
Next was my Uncle George - which was what we called him back then. I believe he served in Asia, probably in the Philippines (Douglas MacArthur) as many Black Americans went there rather than Europe. Check out the Sargent Strips BTW. His older brother served in Europe in WW1 probably dragging bodies back from the line as Black people supposedly did that back in the day. I met him and he had the ”shakes” (Shell Shock). I don’t have any photos of him in war though. And yes I have some American roots and we remember and thank them for their service in our Remembrance Day.
Uncle George in WW2
I’ll leave it there today…..
Goodnight…..

Back to the normal grind. Fall is over and temps are dropping.
I’m actually working out a plan for retirement. Not that retirement is going to happen soon, but you never know and you must always pack your own parachute!
As I wait on things, I am working around the house. I figure I have one more year and things will have to be repaired on the Mustang and Buick. The furnace and water heater were just replaced at my dad’s place and the roof a few years ago so we are fine for a while. I’m like on 2 years in my water heater and six more years before the roof. Anyway, I hate doing stuff like this - but time waits for nobody. The big Social Development gig at the UN is happening next year and I should figure out what I will do there…..
Not a concentration camp - note the barbed wire fences!
Also: That internment camp for people of Japanese ancestry was originally for WW2 POWs. There was a warning line (presumably you would be shot if you crossed it - that’s the reason it’s there) and two sets of barbed wire fencing with five sentry towers. This was no happy place. You could leave to do manual labor somewhere far off. Basically this was three years in prison.
Don’t let anyone say otherwise. The Germans had nice propaganda films about the happy atmosphere at the camps in WW2. No - I’m not comparing the two - I just telling you what they say are the conditions are usually fairytales. I know the guy who played Sulu in Startrek had his family stay in a dirty and smelly horse stable while they waited for the transportation and the camps to be built. Oh yes, and he remembers that bit about the soldiers with bayonets banging on their door to take American born citizens into captivity without any reason or legal resort. Five houses down from me are Holocaust survivors and they wrote a book about it - no rewriting history! Like I say - those who fail to learn from history are condemned to repeat it!
BTW: In Canada we turn a blind eye, or call it amnesia to the bad things we have done. You learn to hold your tongue criticizing other countries at the United Nations because they all know the shit we did. I am constantly reminded - but you guys can forget…..
Goodnight…..

I was going to go on a political diatribe between the far left and far right - but I traditionally stay out of that stuff.
That said, in academia I was:
Declared mentally retarded in grade one, my dad was doing his Masters at the UofA though and thought otherwise, and had a clinical psychologist give me an IQ test which showed I had above average IQ for a grade one even though I was one year younger than my classmates.
Streamed into trade school in high school even though I was applying for university with the grades to go there. A group of young teachers fought for me even though I did nothing (and knew nothing of this) and one of them took me aside to tell me what was going on. That should tell you this was no fantasy of my perception!
The guys that pulled me aside in high school: Mr. Walker
And you all know what happened with graduate school.
So that was the left back then - all inclusive as opposed to the racist - right - yet look how they act in private - I have too many real life stories here…..
The far right was like the complete opposite. They took me in and all of a sudden I was rubbing shoulders with high level military officers, politicians, wealthy business men. Even high level bureaucrats that would do favors for me when stymied by the left. To the lay person it was like the bizarro world as opposed to what the preconceptions were. The Reform Party had more visible minorities than the Liberals. What people don’t realize is how many Francophones populate the Liberal Party especially before the Block came on the scene. Liberal Pary leaders are usually quiet Francophones whose first language is French. So when people outside Quebec wonder why a political leader talks with that strange affectation in their voice - it’s because English is not their first language!
Yes, all of that was an eye-opener and developed into a person who doesn’t pick any side anymore - I’m done with it! I’m not left or right - the old system and has outlived its usefulness. We need a new more inclusive mandate and global social contract. I am not on any “side”, I have no religion, no culture other than the one I grew up with - yet I have embraced international society - no xenophobia here! No nationalism! You all get where I’m coming from. I always question putting this stuff on the - net - yet I have lived this for 65 years - no starting over, but this is my story…..
As for the news:
As usual when I deal with the society I am in, as soon as I get “dynamic” and want to do something - everything comes to a crashing halt ! Want to get Donald Brasseur on TV? Start my own TV station and then it’s all set up - put that show on the air. What I actually did that worked was going to CTV corporate lawyers with three law suits I would win - and 30 minutes later Don was going on the air as daytime TV! Want a big concert on Canada Day? Buy a plot of land for millions of dollars and build a concrete stage and then put on your one day music festival. It’s all very much a brick wall. I did get YDS in 2011 the first year Rob and Doug Ford came on the scene (make what you want out of that), let’s see what happens this year…..
Me and Rob Ford back in the day!
Goodnight…..

Seriously, just playing a waiting game on so many levels. Some are immediate like FOFSTOCK 2. Some intermediate like the advocacy. And some years into the future like the covid vaccine suit at the Ontario Human Rights Commission. I must be the only person suing them for not pumping more vaccine into me.
We once pursued a broadcasting license and now I hear MTV Canada finally leaves the air waves at the end of the year. These broadcasting licenses were real. Even now MTV Canada was still bringing in 7 million in revenue not YouTube - I was a regular at the Toronto office of the CRTC and parked my old Mustang beside the Bentleys of the other TV broadcasters. Those were the days…..
Gordon Lightfoot’s acoustic guitarist up for sale. Google it if interested.
As for how long we keep this blog going? I was one of the first pitching reality TV - initially for musicians. We always thought this would be super amazing following people around for years on end - it so not amazing nowadays! So none of this stuff bothers me in the least. I keep it going as long as the advocacy and side events keep happening. When that stops probably less regular updates. You get the drift…..

The weekend awaits…..
I can’t believe I’m still am in the shit! I will be brutally honest with you and say that all my experiences among all the leaders and movers
and shakers of the world - not one - had anything on me. That should frighten you, that should scare you. It’s should because it is the truth. Most people have a position in society because that position needs to be filled and if the best isn’t available - then the second or third or fourth is selected because the position needs to be filled. In the realm of international activities - you are sometimes selected - but the best candidates”take”.
I’m old now, but the younger me that came out with the concepts I embrace now was better than all of them. Dissemination of my ideas has no framework for acceptance - in essence I can do as I please. The human race needs a monumental jump in human social development. That’s simple enough to do at my end. You have to be in my shoes and my experience to see what I see and be horrified - but actually not horrified if I can change things - at the global state of humanity and the totality of humanity.
You have to see it. You have to feel it. You have to immerse yourself in that pool of world leaders to understand it all, and judge it all, and find it lacking to a person of your abilities - and realize why you have to keep at it with your ideas. People think the world leader they vote for must be better than them, otherwise how did they get there? Well I know better from first hand experience. Now you know why some exceptions were made for me later in life. Those people that have been high enough to have seen what I saw were the same ones that brought me into their fold and gave me some attention. I wonder what they would say if they knew what I was actually doing now? It’s easy thing accelerate social development in humans - as long as you don’t upset the current state of things. My ideas merely add a new global layer to the mix - so I have a chance…..
That’s why I’m not retired yet. The world is very small right now. Like a marble in my hand. Those in the far right in my past saw something in me not disposable. They are all dead now so it’s all on me - now. I’m doing my own thing for the good of all.
Goodnight…..

I’ll spare you the advocacy “pump up” I’ve been doing lately.
Let’s just dump all that crap I keep spewing. Yes, I was in with the right. Yes, I got in tight with people that had positions there. There is so much I could say and how every party kept an eye on each other. Let’s just say it’s less than I write about here as I can’t say anything about the other stuff. But it’s more than you think when it comes to the stuff I can’t talk about on the internet. It was all just wack!
It was like I was thinking: “Your laying it on a bit thick”. And then I think of all the stuff I can’t talk about - opening up old memories and it’s like - no I’m not! Nah, they have no idea what goes on in Canadian politics! Hahaha…..
Anyway, the reality at the orgs is that I’m cost cutting and preparing things for the big sleep. There is no reason to close up a corporation if nothing is happening - you just do nothing and keep filing statements. The only costs really are the bank charges.
Internal costs are another thing. That is what I am taking care of now.
Goodnight….. |
