Maybe - since the cover is taking on a surreal bent - I should add some more highlights in the background like this extra point of purple light.....
Or maybe not.....just putting this one out there..... |

I think we have a winner. With the proper edgework this should get you where you want to go Shaun.

I'll give you a bit of free editing:
In the "thanks" part...
1. "those who mattered most in my life" should be "those who matter the most in my life" - present tense unless these folks are all dead (well, God is an exception depending on your beliefs I guess).
2. "Without yiou" end of second paragraph - lose the "i", should be "you"
3. Third paragraph: "parayers" - lose the first "a"; should be prayers
Beyond the grammer and punctuation errors, these were the most glaring. Nothing that importing the content into Word and using spellcheck can't fix easily.
Good luck! Looks good regardless. |

Thanks for the info and thanks for the well wishes. My main concern is that the graphics don't disappear into a sea of black if the printer goes a few shades darker than expected. This happened in one of the prints I ran off as a test a few days ago and even though he was probably a bit too dark, it was enough to scare me to lighten the text and face and mask and such. I will make the changes shortly as I am on a computer in my bed room and all the files are in the office.
Wish me luck in getting all of the guys on the air and getting out TV shows on the air. After two years we are back in it and "The Life And Times Of Donald "Boots" Brasseur" should be the next, followed by the music video show. Exciting or scary times ahead depending on how you look at it.... |

If you're taking it to a printing house, don't guage your results on a home printer - print houses use CMYK that gives a different end result than a standard RBG home printer...they can also adjust the gamma to lighten certain buried tones. See if they will run a test print and then adjust the gamma on their system - most good printhouses will do this automatically if they have any pride in their work |

The changes are made but the man in question still has not given me is OK. I am going ahead as of tomorrow guys.....
As for the printers, that one in question was on a machine you would find at a UPS store and such. Shorewood Pkg. - I think - does our printing and they have never gone wrong. Problem is that I do this on an LCD screen and deviate from the right angle and the picture gets washed out and such. On my video editor in which is crucial to get it right, I still use CRTs; but the LCDs are easier on my eyes. I have five workstations here at FOF and all but two have dual monitors.

The video editor!

Reception!

The audio booth!

My desk and place of misery - just imagine an extra monitor there and that is my world today!
What else, since you have me taking a break here..... Oh yah, we are starting our audio promotion, this is the hardest part of this experiment. They seem to think I have this "halo" over my head that makes things happen. However, I do fail like when I applied to the NFB:

Failure at the NFB!
If at first you don't succeed.....try, try, again.....

Later success at the NFB!
So our little experiment can succeed, I am just too stupid to realize how futile it is..... |

I got Shaun Kelly's contracts back from SOCAN, signed, sealed and delivered. He is now a member in good standing with the Society Of Composers, Authors And Music Publishers. Congrats to the man - I know this means much to him! |
