Status Of The Fortress TV Show - Part 2

Well I found out today that the show passed screening at Global TV. All that remains is to convert to BetacamSP or Digibetacam; all the while ensuring that we maintain quality or technical requirements of the broadcaster. The program will also have to be closed captioned for the hearing impaired. The requirements were sent to me and a cursory glance is a little daunting; but generally if the thing looks good and sounds good, and is shot on the right equipment and edited properly.....all should go well.

That brings me to the next point. From now on, any problems or rejection of the show will be entirely my responsibility. All other participants have had their contributions cleared by the CRTC who declared our show a "Canadian Production", and I still get a thrill out of that..... Even Global TV found your performances worthy of being broadcast on that first class network! I have nothing but the highest praise for all of you! From now on, we concentrate on purely mechanical things which ultimately relate to my choice of equipment and format and editor and skill of editing. These were all my doing from day one and all pressure is on myself. I have selected a production house for this work and will disclose that company when the work begins..... Anyway - thanks to all who participated.

Once the show passes technical requirements, it will have it's contract sealed with a check and should air the weekend of September 18, 2005 which is the anniversary of the day we shot the program. Actual time is still up in the air but should be around two thirty to three thirty late Saturday night after regular programing. We should be set to go before the deadline for TV guide and thus we should see our show listed with all the regular programing!

Anyway, that is where we stand now and more news as it will unfold.
